Short version: the ZQLZ app collects nothing about you. The website only runs analytics if you
opt in.
The ZQLZ app
- No telemetry. ZQLZ does not send usage data, crash reports, or identifiers to us.
- Your databases stay yours. Connections, credentials, queries, and results are stored and
processed on your machine. ZQLZ connects directly to the databases you configure.
- Crash logs are local. If ZQLZ crashes, it writes a log file on your computer. Nothing is
uploaded. You can attach it to a bug report if you choose.
- AI completions are opt-in. If you add your own API key for an AI provider, ZQLZ sends the
surrounding query text and schema context directly to that provider to generate suggestions. That
data is governed by the provider's privacy policy. ZQLZ does not route it through us.
This website
zqlz.dev is a static site. It has no accounts, forms, or comments.
- Analytics (opt-in). With your consent, we use PostHog to understand
page views and how visitors use the site. Requests go through our own endpoint. Without consent,
PostHog does not capture events. See the cookie policy.
- Local preferences. Your theme and cookie choices are saved in your browser's local storage
and never sent to us.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and user
agent) for security and operations.
- Downloads. App downloads are served by GitHub, which processes your request under
GitHub's privacy statement.
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. The services we rely on are listed on the
subprocessors page.
